Moaning Monday: The Conservative Media

This is not a post suggesting that the Liberal media has no flaws, or that one is better than the other.  I am simply pointing out the very, very, real problems with the conservative media.

I could go in depth about the issues with so many of the conservative media.  I really could. 

But instead I will point out just one instance.  And I have to say, I am not the originator of this, its from an article found here

Its about soccer.  World Cup soccer, the conservative media is acting as if soccer is an ATTACK on the American people.  Why?  I don't know.  I couldn't tell you.  But they are.  Apparently soccer is being forced down our throats, we don't want it, etc. etc.  OH and Dan Gainor said "that the sport of soccer "is being sold" as necessary due to the "browning of America." 

Yeah.  lets not be too obviously racist please, lets keep it to generalities and inferences, this outright racism is way too refreshingly honest for me.  I don't know how to take it "Aha!" "Told you so!" "Neener Neener Neeneer"  these all seem somehow lacking.

Why is the conservative media fighting soccer?  Are they angry they were never good at it?  Are they all busy being news nerds so sports just don't matter to them?  Can they not see the benefit of having another viable sports franchise in the US? 

Idiots. 

Absolute idiots.

Especially the ones saying our sports have no riots like theirs...the riots after the Duke and Carolina games are twice YEARLY.  YEARLY, as in 2 times each year.  If they play each other in post season there are more.  Yeah.  And the Raiders fans and Eagle fans may not riot, but they sure as heck aren't your model citizens at the games. 

I am just stunned at the thought of this being an issue and I think it all comes down to Gainors comment.  Racism has put these 'news people' against something that so many people with darker skin than they have like and enjoy and its disgusting.
